Suspected female suicide bomber 'had sad childhood'

The BBC's Tom Burridge has been speaking to people near an apartment block in Aulnay-sous-Bois where police have searched the home of the mother of the woman believed to have detonated a suicide belt during the Saint Denis raid.
One woman said she had known the suspect, identified as Hasna Aitboulahcen, since childhood:

"She’s not a terrorist. I don’t know why she did that. They brainwashed her. She had a sad childhood. I know her very well, since she was a kid. I know her mother, her father. Her mother babysits my kids. Her kids have all been taken care of by social services. They have all been split up. The father left the kids with the mother."
